By understanding our place in the universe we can achieve a sense of place, purpose and empowerment. The 18th-century Enlightenment transformed scientific and intellectual awareness, igniting revolutions and an unstoppable demand for freedom and rights which went on to include Women’s Suffrage, Civil Rights, LBGT equality, disability rights and the Paralympic movement itself.
